TODAY'S FEATURE: Who Said That?
Can you match the 3 author names (Longfellow, Wordsworth, and Bacon) with the quotes below?:
"Dreams, books, are each a world, and books, we know, are a substantial world, both pure and good".
"Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested".
"The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books".

ABOUT BETTY McNEAL
Betty McNeal was born in Houston, PA in 1932. From humble beginnings as a coal miner's daughter, she went on to attend 6 universities and earn 3 degrees, in Education (Cheyney Univ.), Law(Cleveland-Marshall), and Library Science (Western Michigan Univ.).
Despite her accomplishments, she still felt something was missing, and began a 40-year quest for greater meaning in life. "Amazing Plan for Total Success" grew out of this relentless search. She calls this book her "love letter" to the world. Betty pursues quiet meditations to bless all creation not knowing where these blessings will fall. She may someday be recognized as a leader in life transformations, a voice for noble pursuits, and a visionary of astounding insight, responsible for dramatic improvements in the lives of many the world over and through long stretches of time.

MY BOOK
"Amazing Plan for Total Success" shows a daring, no-nonsense way to get everything good out of life. The Plan starts with Three Golden Keys, which form the basis of success in every part of your life--personal, professional, financial, educational, spiritual. The Keys expand into an exciting, one-page system superior to the usual positive thinking and lukewarm advice other writers copy from each other and pass off as new. You also get over 400 Questions and Answers to light up your path and speed up your progress.
But you must be serious about success! Most of all, you must be willing to learn something new. Have your old ideas and your present understanding taken you to the heights you wish to attain? Perhaps it's time for a better way.
BUILDING YOUR LIBRARY
Every reader needs a personal bookshelf, or better yet, a private library. Why wait? Start with used books at garage sales, if necessary. Set a goal of reading a book a week. Read more than what interests you, to stretch your mind into unknown territory. Turn off TV and start a reading hour in your family. Life can only get better through reading.
BOOK NEWS
"If You Want to Write", by Brenda Ueland. This is an old book going back to the 1930s that is so good it just won't go away. It has been reprinted and reissued many times. Ms. Ueland insists that everyone is interesting and has something important to say. To prove it, she taught writing to people in all walks of life--clerks, doctors, housewives, accountants, maids, and truck drivers. She shows samples of student writing. She makes you want to put your thoughts on paper, whether they get published or not.
ONLINE BOOKSTORES
Here's a list of web sites you might use to order books online. This is a free service for you, as I have no connection with any business listed here. I sell one book only, my own. However, that doesn't stop you from looking into the Affiliate Programs offered by these booksellers, if you'd like to make money selling books. So, if you have a web site, they'll partner with you and pay you a commission on sales you generate. These hot links will take you right there.
http://www.powells.com If you ever get to Portland, Oregon drop into their actual store. So big they give you a map when you enter. In the meantime you can buy online.
We'll change the list of bookstores from time to time, so visit often to stay tuned to the world of books.
